Baron Davis "Call For Help" Bracelets To Raise Money For Hurricane Victims

The Golden State Warriors Foundation, in conjunction with the Baron Davis Foundation, will be selling authentic bracelets identical to the ones that star guard Baron Davis wears during games in an effort to help raise funds for those effected by Hurricane Katrina. The orange rubber bracelets feature a Warriors logo and the inscription “CALL FOR HELP 2006 BD #5.”

Also, when the Warriors take on the Hornets next Monday, the Warriors Foundation and the Baron Davis Foundation will host 50 families that were displaced to the Bay Area from New Orleans following the hurricane so that they can watch their two “hometown” teams face each other.

Davis has also pledged to donate $500 for each point that he scores in the game versus the Hornets to the hurricane relief effort, a total that will subsequently be matched by the Warriors Foundation. Davis has made substantial contributions to the relief effort, including a $50,000 donation from his foundation immediately after the hurricane struck, as well as a donation of the $22,000 won during his appearance on Wheel of Fortune at the beginning of the season.
