Warriors General Counsel and Vice President David Kelly Receives In-House Impact Award from the Recorder Magazine

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The NBA Champion Golden State Warriors General Counsel and Vice President of Basketball Legal Affairs David Kelly has received ALM’s The Recorder Magazine’s 2016 In-House Impact Award, recognizing California litigation practices that delivered exceptional results on critical and challenging matters for their companies. Kelly has been recognized for leading the dismissal in its entirety of the antitrust lawsuit from ticket reseller StubHub against the Warriors and Ticketmaster, which accused both companies of violating antitrust laws through the selection of Ticketmaster to administer the team’s authorized resale marketplace.

The Recorder Magazine editors reviewed 148 nominations looking for decisive victories at trial or on appeal. Considerations included the degree of difficulty, dollar value and importance of each matter to the client, the depth and breadth of the practice and the use of strategic approaches that proved successful. Kelly will join fellow honorees on April 20 at The City Club in San Francisco to be recognized by The Recorder Magazine.
