Warriors Announce 2014 NBA Summer League Schedule

The National Basketball Association today announced the schedule for the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, with the Golden State Warriors slated to play a minimum of five games beginning on July 11. The Warriors’ Summer League roster will be announced at a later date.

New Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr, who was named to his post on May 19, will make his coaching debut in Las Vegas for the defending NBA Summer League Champion Warriors, who went undefeated en route to capturing the inaugural Summer League Championship in 2013.

For the second consecutive year, the NBA Summer League features a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in the crowning of an NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 21. All 24 participating teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 11-15 before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games, with the two teams that reach the Championship Game playing as many as eight contests.

Golden State’s three pre-scheduled Summer League games are against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, July 11, the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, July 12, and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, July 14.
