The ESPYS will take place this Wednesday, and fans can vote for Warriors guard Stephen Curry is for three awards. The 2015 ESPY winner for Best Male Athlete, Curry is up for that honor again this year, as well as Best Record-Breaking Performance and Best NBA Player. Voting is open for these awards, and many others, until Wednesday at 5 p.m.

BEST MALE ATHLETE | VOTE NOW

Stephen Curry received his second straight NBA MVP honor this past season, becoming the first-ever unanimous winner of the award. He guided the team to an NBA record 73 wins while leading the NBA in scoring and steals. Curry also obliterated his own league record for most 3-pointers made in a season (more on that below), and he became just the 11th player in league history to be MVP in consecutive seasons.

BEST RECORD-BREAKING PERFORMANCE | VOTE NOW

In three of the last four years, Stephen Curry has set the NBA’s all-time record for most 3-pointers made in a single season. But in 2015-16, Curry did more than just break his own record – he shattered it. His 402 treys were 116 more than his previous best of 286. And for those wondering, Seattle Supersonics guard Ray Allen had the record before Curry with 269 treys in the 2005-06 season.

BEST NBA PLAYER | VOTE NOW

For the same reasons as his Best Male Athlete nomination, Stephen Curry is up for this award. But to go into a little more detail, the-two time MVP hit 50.4 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from three-point range (third in the NBA) while leading the league in free throw percentage (.908), becoming just the seventh player in NBA history to hit at least 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three and 90 percent from the line while qualifying for the league minimums in all three categories, joining Steve Nash as the only players to hit 50/45/90 over the course of an entire campaign.

Curry was nominated for a fourth award, but is no longer in contention. His game-winning shot against the Thunder on February 27 was up for Best Play, an award determined by fan voting in a tournament-style bracket. That shot made it to the voting’s quarterfinals before being upended by LeBron James’ block in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

The 24th annual ESPYS will air on Wednesday, July 13, at 5 p.m. on ABC. The star-studded night celebrates major sports achievements, relives unforgettable moments and salutes the leading performers and performances of the past year in sports. The show supports ESPN’s ongoing commitment to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, launched by ESPN with the late Jim Valvano in 1993.
