KD the Tri-Athlete

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

We know KD has game. His performance in the gold medal winning game at the Rio Olympics is indicative of that, not to mention his six NBA All-Star honors and 2013-14 NBA MVP Award. But apparently, his athletic skills go beyond the hardwood.

A 6-foot-9 righty who played a little first base back in the day, Durant took to the diamond on Friday night in San Francisco to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. And while that was certainly an honor, so was sitting down with Hall of Famer and baseball icon Willie Mays. Check out that, plus more from his experience with the Giants below.

Durant’s meeting with Mays and first pitch opportunity came less than a week after he was on the sidelines at the University of Texas, tossing the football prior to the Longhorns’ victory over UTEP. Check out the video below and tell me you’re not impressed with that form. And how ‘bout that grab at the 14-second mark?

Skills!
