Kevon Looney Makes D-League Debut

Highlights from Kevon Looney's first taste of D-League action.

Just about everyone involved with the NBA has had their eyes glued to what the Warriors are doing on the court this season, so it’s understandable if you lost track of who’s been off of it. Most specifically here, I’m referring to Kevon Looney, the Warriors’ first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Looney, who underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip in late August, has been rehabbing the injury ever since, a process that has been ramped up in recent weeks. Just last week, he was assigned to the Warriors’ Development League affiliate in Santa Cruz, and last night he made his D-League debut, accounting for 11 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks in just 16 minutes of action. This is Looney’s first game action since the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 41.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range, albeit on six attempts. Check out Looney’s highlights from his D-League debut below.
