GAME LEADERS

This season’s Dubs features two new additions to the starting lineup, headlined of course by Kevin Durant. The NBA’s premiere offseason acquisition tallied nine points, four rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes, his first bucket as a Warrior coming by way of a fast break dunk after fellow first-year Warrior David West made a block on the other side.

While Durant got acquainted with his new teammates, Klay Thompson picked up where he left off last season. The 2016 3-Point Contest champion at All-Star Weekend had 16 points, including three 3-pointers in the first quarter. The Dubs as a team connected on 12 treys on 36 attempts, shooting 39 percent overall as a team.

Rookie Patrick McCaw had a stellar game with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, and he further stuffed the stat sheet with five steals and four assists. Stephen Curry and Ian Clark each added eight points apiece for the Dubs, who head back to the Bay Area for two preseason games next week, beginning with a Tuesday night matchup against the Clippers at Oracle Arena on Stephen Curry Back-to-Back MVP Bobblehead Night.
