Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The Warriors fell to the Mavericks in Summer League tournament play on July 15, 2016.

GAME LEADERS

The absence of Summer League leaders Patrick McCaw and Keifer Sykes was felt early on by the Warriors. The Dubs managed just six points through the first eight minutes of the period, struggling with their outside shooting. They then added eight more points in the final two minutes of the period, capped by a Rosco Allen three-pointer in the waning seconds of the quarter. Allen and David Laury led the Warriors with five points each in the first, and the team came out of period one down 20-14.

The Mavericks went on a 10-0 run early in the second quarter to build their lead to 30-16. The period ended with that same differential, as the Warriors continued to struggle with their shooting, trailing 43-29 heading into the second half. Winston Shepard had an impressive second quarter, scoring ten of the team's 15 points, including the last six points by the Dubs before half.

The Warriors opened the third well cutting into the Mavs lead behind three field goals from Laury. The offense stalled and the quarter ended with the Dubs trailing 61-49 entering the fourth.

Late in the fourth, the Dubs cut the lead to six on a deep three by Allen but could get no closer, dropping their sixth and final NBA Summer League contest 80-74 to Dallas. The Warriors finished 2-4 in Las Vegas.
