GAME LEADERS

The Warriors won their penultimate game of the season tonight, earning a 111-107 home victory over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. Klay Thompson was on fire with 37 point in the first half, including 26 in the second quarter alone. He finished the game with 42 points on 15-of-21 shooting, including 8-of-10 from three-point range before sitting out the entire fourth quarter. Stephen Curry recorded 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds, while Leandro Barbosa and Festus Ezeli each contributed nine points off the bench.

The opening points of the game were an omen of what was to come, as Klay Thompson opened the scoring with a jumper 17 seconds into the contest. That gave the Warriors a 2-0 lead, and from there, they never looked back. After Zach Randolph sank a fadeaway jump shot to pull within 9-8 with 8:18 left in the first quarter, the Warriors ripped off a 16-4 run in response to double up the Grizzlies and lead 25-12 with 5:22 still remaining in the opening frame. Memphis would climb back within single digits with less than two minutes left to play, but the Dubs scored on three consecutive possessions to close out the scoring in the quarter and head into the second frame with a 36-21 advantage. Then, Klay Thompson took over.
