GAME LEADERS

For the first time in 39 years, the Warriors secured the Pacific Division title with a 122-108 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, March 24. Stephen Curry paved the way with team-highs of 33 points and 10 assists, while splashing five of his nine attempted three-pointers. Andre Iguodala added 21 points and four assists, while Andrew Bogut filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 16 rebounds and six assists.

The unyielding tempo of the game was set within the opening minutes, as the Warriors and Trail Blazers exchanged baskets for the majority of the first quarter. Klay Thompson opened the game with the Warriors' first five points, before Damian Lillard stepped up for the Blazers and contributed eight points during their 11-4 run with four minutes left in the quarter. Portland grew their lead to six points with 2:58 left, but the Warriors were able to keep their deficit to four, ending the first quarter 30-26. The Dubs then picked up the pace, going on a 7-0 run through the first 3:03 in the second quarter to tie it up at 35. As quickly as they tied things up, however, CJ McCollum scored an even quicker 10 points within two minutes to push Portland back up 47-41 with 6:20 left in the half. A Draymond Green jumper kept the Dubs within six, before a made three from Lillard found the Dubs back down by nine. Then enters Steph Curry. Back-to-back threes from the Splash Brother brought the squad within six again at 53-47 within the final four minutes of the half. The final seconds of the half saw an authoritative breakaway dunk from Curry, as the Dubs remained trailing 62-57.
