GAME LEADERS

The Warriors outplayed the Mavericks in nearly every facet of the game, cruising to a 104-89 win on Friday night at Oracle Arena. Stephen Curry had 22 points and seven assists, Draymond Green added 18 points and nine boards and the Dubs held the Mavs to 36.8 percent shooting.

If there was one stat that indicated the dominant effort, it was the 51-34 rebounding advantage. Andrew Bogut carried the load in that department, accumulating 13 boards as part of a very solid all-around effort that also included four assists and three blocks.

With the Warriors’ defense clicking on all cylinders – Dallas became the 16th Golden State opponent to shoot less than 40 percent – the team just needed a spark after a slow start. Enter Mr. Curry. The All-Star guard put together one of his Curry flurries, and the Dubs quickly overcame a six-point deficit early in the game. Curry scored the Warriors’ first eight points of the game, and his pull-up 3-pointer on the break capped off a 12-0 run that gave the Warriors a lead they would never relinquish.
