Warriors Clipped By Nets

Despite a fourth quarter comeback attempt, the Warriors' six-game road trip comes to an end with a 110-108 loss to the Brooklyn Nets.

GAME LEADERS

The Warriors sure made it interesting, but ultimately fell 110-108 to the Nets in Brooklyn on Monday night. Trailing by 10 with under four minutes remaining, Stephen Curry helped the Warriors climb their way back into the game, tying things at 108 with a minute left, but Jarrett Jack hit a jumper in the final seconds to prevent what could have been the Warriors’ second comeback win in as many nights.

After a couple sub-standard performances earlier on the road trip, Andrew Bogut made a concerted effort early on to turn things around. He scored 10 of the team’s first 16 points within the first seven minutes, as the Warriors and Nets traded buckets to tie the game at 16 apiece. Brooklyn would go on to score the next 10 points, proving the difference in the quarter as the Nets closed the first frame with a 33-23 lead.

That 10-point lead matched Brooklyn’s largest of the entire game, and despite numerous Warriors attempts to even the score, the Nets were able to maintain an advantage going into halftime. A Shaun Livingston layup would cut the deficit to two with 3:33 remaining in the second quarter, but the Nets would close the half on a 6-2 run to carry a 57-51 lead into the third quarter.
