The Warriors got back on the winning track with a 110-97 win over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves.

GAME LEADERS

The Warriors got back on track on Saturday night, defeating the Timberwolves 110-94 at Oracle Arena. After being tied at 19, the Warriors closed the final 4:31 of the first quarter on a 12-4 run to gain a lead they would never give back. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson scored 25 and 21 points, respectively, the 51st time they’ve both notched at least 20 points in the same game. Harrison Barnes, Marreese Speights, David Lee and Andre Iguodala all scored in double figures, while Draymond Green stuffed the stat sheet with four points, eight rebounds, six assists, six steals and three blocks.

After two consecutive lackluster displays against the Lakers and Clippers earlier in the week, the Warriors were in need of a dominating performance, and that’s exactly what they got. Minnesota hung tough for the first half of the first quarter, trading baskets with their much deeper and experienced counterpart. However, that eight point differential created by the Warriors’ burst to close out the first frame served as foreshadowing of what was to come in the second half. By the time the game reached its midpoint, Golden State held a 58-48 advantage, due in large part to their proficiency on offense. Of the Warriors’ 21 made field goals, 19 came by way of an assist.
