Warriors Win Ninth Straight

Draymond Green scores a team-high 20 points (5-of-8 from three-point land) as the Warriors beat the Pistons 104-93 for their ninth consecutive victory.

GAME LEADERS

The Warriors defeated the Detroit Pistons 104-93 for their ninth consecutive win and first five-game road sweep since 1978. Draymond Green led the squad with 20 points, including 5-of-8 from deep. Both Stephen Curry (16 points, 10 assists) and Mo Speights (11 points, 12 rebounds) logged double-doubles, while five Warriors scored in double-figures.

What turned out to be another monumental win did not start off very explosive for the Warriors. Golden State struggled to gain and maintain a lead over Detroit until the second quarter, when seven different Warriors had at least four, but not more than five, points during their 34-29 lead. At the half, the Warriors had held Detroit to 26.3% shooting while shooting 49% themselves. As the Warriors opened the third quarter with a 20 point lead, they were able to maintain control of their lead throughout the second half, earning their ninth consecutive victory this season and seventh straight over the Pistons.

Next up, the Dubs go for 10-straight wins when they host the Orlando Magic on #WarriorsGround on Tuesday night.
