GAME LEADERS

The Warriors’ undefeated run in the preseason is no longer. After overcoming a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter on Thursday night in Iowa, the Dubs were the ones who couldn’t hold on to a double-digit lead in Friday’s 115-108 loss to the Heat in Kansas City.

Before the fourth quarter collapse, the Warriors had showed no signs of playing on the back end of a back-to-back. David Lee made all 11 of his shots and Klay Thompson had 18 points in the third quarter and the Warriors led by as many as 14 points.

Despite the result, there were several bright spots for the Warriors. Thompson showcased a lot of the skill that made him one of the most talked about players for the U.S. National Team at last month’s FIBA World Cup. The Splash Brother made four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 29 points while also finishing off an impressive one-handed slam for one of the game’s top highlights.

David Lee continued his stellar preseason with 24 points. Through four games on the exhibition slate – he sat out Thursday in Iowa against the Nuggets – the veteran forward is averaging 15.8 points while shooting 74 percent from the field in fewer than 25 minutes a game.
