GAME LEADERS

The Warriors overcame a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter to keep their perfect run in the preseason intact, beating the Nuggets 104-101 on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.

James Michael McAdoo played the role of hero in this one, scoring 16 points after the Warriors had trailed 89-72 with 9:30 left in the game. McAdoo led the Warriors with 20 points and seven rebounds, and Harrison Barnes sealed the win with a late jumper in his homecoming.

With the win, the Warriors improve to 4-0 in the preseason. But for the longest time a victory seemed to be out of reach. In a game in which Andrew Bogut and David Lee took the night off, the Dubs fell behind by 16 points in the first half. The Splash Brothers got the team back in the game with a second quarter spurt, scoring 14 straight Warriors points.

Thompson finished with 18 points and five assists in 17 minutes and Curry tallied 13 points. The duo combined to go 6-for-7 on 3-pointers, but the Nuggets stretched their lead back into double digits with the Warriors starting backcourt back on the bench.
