Warrior Girls: February 2013
February 27, 2013
Although there were only four home games in February, the Warrior Girls kept themselves busy.
The dancers dedicated hours to learning several new routines … including a special country routine which they performed during the Warriors – Suns game.
They also spent time giving back to the community by participating in an event hosted by the Warriors Get Fit Time-Out program and Kaiser Permanente.
Casey and Anabelle helped members from Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program act out their “The Best Me” play, which focused on helping the kids understand the benefits of making healthier life choices.
The kids had so much fun that several asked Casey and Anabelle to autograph their Get Fit t-shirts and bags.
The Warriors celebrated Chinese New Year during their game against the Houston Rockets on February 12.
It was also Asian Heritage Night, so the Warrior Girls got into the Chinese New Year spirit and wore special outfits.
February also marked the return of “The Shootout”, an opportunity for Warriors fans to win up to $50,000 by making half-court shots.
Last year, the Warriors handed out over $50,000 and saw three fans nail half-court shots.
The best part about home games is being able to perform for and spend time with Warriors fans.
The Warriors went 3-1 at home during the month of February.
With 11 home games in March, the Warrior Girls are hard at work perfecting their routines and working on new ones to keep Warriors Ground on their toes.
