2012 Warriors Draft Picks

With the 7th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Harrison Barnes, a sophomore forward out of the University of North Carolina.
From Mount Vernon, NY, Harrison Bryce Jordan Barnes’ middle name was inspired by a fellow Tar Heel, the one and only Michael Jordan.
At 6’8” and 228 lbs., the 20 year-old Barnes has the size and strength to play small forward in the NBA.
Barnes played in 71 games in his college career, averaging 16.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Barnes earned numerous accolades in his high school career, including The Sporting News and USA Today National Player of the Year.
He was named MVP of the McDonald’s All-Star Game, the Nike Hoop Summit, and the Jordan Brand classic.
Barnes entered UNC with tremendous expectations. He was the first freshman ever to be named to the preseason All-American team, and was eventually named ACC Rookie of the Year.
As a sophomore, Barnes was a Second Team All-American and First Team All-ACC selection.

With the 30th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Festus Ezeli, a senior center out of Vanderbilt University.
Ezeli played in 121 games in his collegiate career, averaging 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game.
The 22 year-old Ezeli is 6’11” and weighs 260 lbs.
Ezeli has come a long way to be drafted in the NBA. He graduated from high school in Nigeria at the age of 14, and then moved to the U.S. to live with his uncle.
He spent a year at Sacramento’s Jesuit High School, but got cut from the basketball team. He then took courses at a junior college and practiced with the basketball squad, while also serving as the team videographer.

With the 35th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Draymond Green, a senior forward out of Michigan State University.
The 22 year-old Green is 6’7” and weighs 235 lbs.
Green played in 145 games in his collegiate career, averaging 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
As a senior, Green accumulated numerous awards including NABC Division I Player of the Year, First Team All-America honors, and Big Ten Player of the Year.

With the 52nd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Ognjen Kuzmic, a center from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The 22 year-old Kuzmic is 7’1” and 231 lbs. He most recently played for Clinicas Rincon in Spain’s LEB Gold league.
