Yesterday, Warriors Forward Jason Thompson surprised Ms. MaryAnne Mitchell, a civilian employee of the Oakland Police Department for more than 25 years, with a $5,000 check to help her efforts to purchase food for those in need in the Oakland community during the Holidays. Every year, Ms. Mitchell works with the Oakland Police Department to donate money to purchase food for the holidays for families on their beats who are living in poverty. 6. Yesterday, the Warriors joined ABD Insurance and Financial Services (ABD) for a Learning Without Limits event for 50 students from San Francisco’s De Marillac Academy at Chabot Space and Science Center. Andre Iguodala participated in a live science show in Chabot’s Megadome Theater, assisting scientists in educating the students on the process of turning wind and light into viable sources of energy.
