Dubs Daily: 7 things you need to know today

1. The Warriors have now won 19 consecutive regular season games at Oracle Arena, which ties the longest home win streak in franchise history (set last season).

2. Stephen Curry’s 40 points in Tuesday’s win were the most by a reigning MVP in a season opener since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 41 on October 13, 1972.

3. Curry on receiving his championship ring: “I actually slept with it on last night, which was cool. Now it’s in a safe spot. I might look at it from time to time, but I let last night be the night to celebrate what we did last year, get a win, and now we have to turn the page.”

4. Andrew Bogut has been diagnosed with a concussion after departing in the third quarter of Tuesday’s victory. He will not return to the court until he is symptom-free and cleared under the NBA’s concussion protocol guidelines. He will be evaluated daily and there is no timetable for his return.

5. Golden State will travel to Houston today for a road game against the Rockets on Friday night. The Warriors will then head to New Orleans for a rematch against the Pelicans on Saturday, representing their first of 20 sets of back-to-back games this season (tied for the most in the NBA).

6. Yesterday, as part of the Warriors’ financial literacy program (Future Leaders), James Michael McAdoo and Hall-of-Famer Nate Thurmond visited Balboa High School in San Francisco for a Q&A with the students focusing on the importance of education and college.

7. Stephen Curry will once again lead his Three for Three Challenge by donating three life-saving nets to the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign for every three-pointer he makes this season. He made five three-pointers in the Warriors’ opening night victory over the Pelicans.
