Step Up Your Game Dream Panel Discussion

On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, the Warriors, as part of the NBA’s commitment to My Brother’s Keeper, hosted a panel discussion for nearly 200 students in the Bay Area in honor of Black History Month. The panelists included: NBA Deputy Commissioner & Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum, Director of HOPE SF Theodore Miller, 100 Black Men of the Bay Area Board Chairman Frank Tucker, East Oakland Youth Development Center President and Chief Operating Officer Regina Jackson, California Endowment Senior Fellow Deen Tyler, Oakland Unified School District African Male Achievement Executive Director Christopher Chatmon, City of Richmond Office of Neighborhood Safety Director DeVone Boggan and Kaiser Permanente Regional Vice President of External and Community Affairs Yvette Radford. The speakers shared their efforts around My Brother’s Keeper and what their respective organizations are doing to help create pathways to success for the youth in their programs.
