It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for new Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr to say the least. After coming close to an agreement to take a coaching job in New York, Kerr surprised nearly everyone in the NBA world when he came to terms to be the 25th head coach in Warriors franchise history.

It started with a conversation in Oklahoma City, where Kerr was broadcasting a playoff game for TNT, and less than a week later he was addressing the media in Oakland, glowing about the prospects of working with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and an organization that he said is “on the rise.” Warriors TV’s Laurence chronicled Kerr’s Bay Area arrival in the video below.

Kerr’s stop at Warriors headquarters was one of many throughout the day, as he took part in a media tour that featured a stop at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area as well as multiple radio interviews. Despite the busy schedule, Kerr made sure to acknowledge Warriors fans in a special video message. Watch that below and also make sure to check out the full-length press conference if you haven't done so already. Now, Kerr is back on the road, as he'll continue to serve as an analyst for TNT for the remainder of the Western Conference Finals before devoting his full professional life to the Warriors.

Life will soon return to normal for Kerr, although it will be a normal that’s brand new to the first time head coach.
