BOSTON (Jan. 25, 2011) Robert Menzel was presented $200,000 by Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery Mark Cavanagh after participating in the Mass Lottery’s $1 Million Parquet Floor Challenge at the Boston Celtics regular season game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 25th. Menzel won the cash prize by selecting from 32 oversized Boston Celtics Limited Edition 2008 NBA Champions instant tickets spread across the parquet floor.

Robert Menzel was randomly selected through the Lottery’s Second Chance Bonus Drawing to take part in the contest. The drawing was the second and final element of the $1 Million Parquet Floor Challenge. Olivia Scimeca of Boston took home $200,000 in the initial drawing held during the Celtics playoff game against the Orlando Magic on May 6, 2009. To enter the Second Chance Bonus Drawing, players had to mail in two non-winning Celtics Instant tickets or follow the online entry instructions on masslottery.com.

Celtics Cash, the third edition Celtic game offered by the Massachusetts State Lottery, was launched in September 2010. The new ticket offers fans a chance to instantly win up to $25,000 and 5 chances to play the “Parquet Floor Challenge” at a Boston Celtics Home Game to win up to $25,000. In addition, 255 Boston Celtics Suite and Court Experience Prizes and 4,450 Celtics Gear Prizes will be awarded. Tickets are currently available for $2 where Lottery tickets are sold.
