2014 Nike Hoop Summit Measurements

Pros/Cons

Why You Might Know Him

You actually might not know much about Clint Capela. He’s a European prospect from Switzerland who has been gaining Draft momentum over the past year or so. He participated in the Nike Hoop Summit in April.

Scouting Report

Capela has played in the French ProA league as a member of Chalon for the past two seasons. He has shown great potential, but also how raw he is as a basketball player. This 20-year-old is a heck of an athlete. With shoes on, he measured out at 6-foot-11 with an incredible wingspan of 7’4.5”. Capela has incredible feet for a player of his size. He gets off of his feet quickly, moves well laterally and is light on his feet both on the perimeter and around the basket. Those great feet, combined with his length and athleticism, make him a prime prospect to defend the pick-and-roll. He’s fully capable of showing on the perimeter against guards and wings. He attacks the ball on rebound opportunities and is a very good at blocking shots off of help defense. However, he struggles at times defending on the block. Adding weight should help with that in a big way. Capela has solid shooting mechanics but does not score much outside of the general basket area at this time. Still a raw player, but has a ton of upside with that athleticism and defensive ability.

Biography
