BRIGHTON, Mass. - Milestones are often a symbol of commitment and longevity. In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, USI Insurance Services (USI) launched the program Twenty for 20: USI Gives Back, which is a nation-wide event where each of the 140 USI offices from across the country invest their time and talent in community service.

On Tuesday, local USI employees joined forces with Boston Celtics legend Dana Barros to volunteer at Cradles to Crayons. Together the volunteers helped to sort clothes, toys and books before packaging them to be sent out to youth in need.

Statistics show more than 305,000 Massachusetts children 12 years old and younger live in poor or low-income households.

“We are excited to be here today to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of USI, as well as their efforts to giving back to the community,” said Barros. “By dedicating time at events such as the one today at Cradles to Crayons, we can help ensure that the youth have essentials they need.”

As the day came to an end, volunteers were able to provide more than 450 youth from around the greater Boston area with clothing essentials to start off the fall season.

“USI is proud to support Cradles to Crayons and their mission to aid underprivileged children along with our partner the Boston Celtics,” explained USI chief marketing officer David Lofstrom. “Events like today are a meaningful way for our associates to contribute to the valuable service being done by Cradles to Crayons and the local communities they serve.”
