Bucks Visit Children's Hospital

The Milwaukee Bucks players and coaching staff spread holiday cheer during their annual visit with patients of the MACC Fund Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin following Monday’s practice. The visit served as one of the cornerstones of the Bucks’ 38-year commitment to the MACC Fund, which was founded on Dec. 10, 1976, during halftime of a Bucks game when Jon McGlocklin’s jersey number 14 was retired.

As part of this year’s visit, the players spent time visiting with the children while handing out Bucks knit hats and other autographed items. In addition, Sam’s Hope Literacy Foundation donated new books for the Bucks to distribute to the children. A long-time partner of the Bucks organization, Sam’s Hope works to encourage children to read at home each day, to achieve in school and to provide new books for children to own through over 20 joint projects each year. Members of the Women for MACC organization also assisted with this year’s visit.
