Ryan Flaherty enters his 29th season with the organization in 2023-24 and oversees Brand & Fan Development, Broadcast, Content, Creative Services, Game Operations & Events and Retail, all departments integral to creating Trail Blazers fans and growing the brand internationally. He was promoted to his current role in January 2022 and holds more than 25 years of marketing and brand development experience. In his role, Flaherty oversees the development of season campaigns and overall brand identity for the Trail Blazers, Rip City Remix, and Blazer5 Gaming.

Prior to his current role, Flaherty served as the Vice President of Brand Strategy, spent two years as Marketing Director, over ten years as Creative Director, two years as Copywriter, Producer & Director, and four years in the Corporate Partnership Marketing Department as an Account Manager. Major projects include leading team identity re-branding efforts, development of numerous season marketing campaigns, writing, producing, and directing hundreds of radio and television commercial productions, new uniform development and launches, creation of multiple environmental space build-outs within the Moda Center, and countless marketing promotions and programs throughout his time with the organization. Flaherty graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Communications. He and his wife and two daughters reside in NW Portland.
