Considered day-to-day
Martin injured himself on a block attempt during training camp. The 29-year-old is expected to be back for Opening Night of the season, but he will likely be considered day-to-day through the rest of the preseason. Martin will likely serve as a backup wing while competing for playing time with Tidjane Salaun, Tre Mann and Seth Curry.

Cleared to play
Martin is coming off another injury-plagued season with the Hornets. He appeared in 28 games during the 2023-24 campaign and averaged 7.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 26.9 minutes per game. The Hornets love his versatility, and he's likely to have a decent role off the bench if he can stay on the floor.

Goes through practice
Curry missed the end of the 2023-24 campaign with a right ankle sprain, but there's been no report of any limitations to open camp. Curry made eight appearances after being acquired from Dallas, posting averages of 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He'll likely be competing for a minor role in the backcourt with the Hornets getting a lot of healthy bodies back, including LaMelo Ball.
