Solid stat line off bench

Head coach Steve Kerr has a propensity to tinker with his starting lineup, though Podziemski hasn't been in the first unit since the Dec. 7 loss to the 76ers. The 2023 first-rounder has still averaged a solid 13.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game in his last 11 outings, and Podziemski's role could fluctuate all year long based on matchups.

Dominant in G League loss

Cryer had a dominant outing despite the loss, leading the team in points scored and assists while shooting 50.0 percent both from the field and beyond the arc. The two-way player has now topped 20 points scored in 10 of his 11 games with Santa Cruz, and he should continue to see the majority of his action in the G League.

Salvages night at free-throw line

Despite the poor shooting, Butler scored at least 15 points for a third straight game thanks to his volume at the charity stripe. The veteran forward is averaging 16.7 points, 7.7 boards, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals since returning from a two-game absence due to a sore knee despite shooting just 43.8 percent from the floor.
