76ERS vs TORONTO RAPTORS
Since 1995 when the Toronto Raptors joined the National Basketball Association as part of an expansion into Canada, their matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers has been mostly even throughout the regular season and into the postseason. One of the most memorable moments between the teams was the 2001 Eastern Conference Semifinals, when Raptors superstar Vince Carter traded 50-point performances with Philadelphia legend Allen Iverson as the series extended to 7 hard-fought games.
Iverson and the Sixers would ultimately prevail and go on to win the Eastern Conference that season, as they took down the Milwaukee Bucks in the next round.
In the 2021-22 NBA regular season, the Sixers, led by Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris, will take on the Pascal Siakam and the Raptors four times, twice at home and twice on the road. In their last regular season meeting with the Raptors, the well-balanced 76ers saw all five of their starters (and sixth man Shake Milton, who had 11 points) score in double figures en route to a 109-102 victory in Toronto. Tobias Harris led all scorers with 23, followed by Joel Embiid (19), Furkan Korkmaz (18), Ben Simmons (15), and Danny Green (11).
