Langston Galloway was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1991. For high school, Galloway attended Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge. While at Christian Life, the fiesty guard was a two-time District 7 1-A Player of the Year. During his senior season in 2009-10, Galloway delivered 26.2 points, five assists and an impressive five steals per contest. That year he led CLA to a Class 1A title and was honored with a Class 1A All-State First Team designation. In college, while at Saint Joseph's, Langston earned a degree in Sports Marketing. He is also interested in charity work that raises prostate cancer awareness. Every summer, Galloway hosts a free basketball camp for youth in his hometown Baton Rouge. Galloway was a four-year starter in the backcourt at St. Joseph's for head coach Phil Martelli from 2010-14. He averaged 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Hawks as a freshman. Galloway scored 25 points or more four times but also had a four-game streak of single-digit scoring. As a sophomore, he put up an average of 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds. Galloway also nailed 46.6 percent of his three-pointers and was named to the All-A10 Second Team. He put up 30 points or more three times, including 32 points in a loss to Penn. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 13.8 points as a junior. The Louisiana native then led the Hawks with 17.7 points as a senior and helped the team earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament, where he scored 25 points in a loss to UConn. He closed his career second overall in St. Joseph's all-time scoring and signed as a free agent with the Knicks in September 2014.
