Player Bio

Bojan Bogdanovic, the son of Mario and Vesna, was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1989. Bogdanovic has always been an athlete. He plays soccer and tennis in his spare time and lists his off-court talent as water polo. Still, Bogdanovic only started playing basketball when he was 15. Things took off quickly from there. Bogdanovic began playing professional basketball for his hometown Zrinjski Mostar in 2004. He moved to Real Madrid the next year, staying in Spain's capital until 2009. At Fenerbahce Ulker, Bogdanovic enjoyed the most success. He was there from 2011-2014, earning a Turkish League All-Star selection and a Turkish Cup championship in 2013 before winning the Turkish Supercup and Turkish League Championship the next year. Bogdanovic represents Croatia on the international level and has appeared in 65 games for his country in 11 global tournaments. You can follow him on Twitter and Instagram (@44Bojan). Bogdanovic began his pro basketball career as a teenager, playing with his hometown club of Zrinjski Mostar. He signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid in 2005 and was loaned back to Zrinjski Mostar in that first year. He went on to play at several levels within the Real Madrid organization. After parting ways with Real Madrid after the 2008-09 season, he signed with Cibona Zagreb of the Croatian League. He left that team after the 2010-11 season and landed with Turkey's Fenerbahce Ulker for his first draft-eligible year. Bogdanovic was taken 31st overall by the Miami Heat in 2011, but remained with Fenerbahce for three more seasons before ultimately signing with the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2014.
