With 21 minutes on Jan. 9 vs. Orlando, Favors played his 541 game as a Jazzman (currently 576 GP), moving in to the top 10 of games played in franchise history. On March 2 against Milwaukee, Favors logged a career-high-tying 18 rebounds, adding 23 points and three blocks in 32 minutes…set a career-high with 17 three-pointers made. Eighth in the NBA with a 4.8 block percentage. Per Basketball Reference, Favors was the only player in 2018-19 to be in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating, eighth in offensive rating (123.7) and sixth in defensive rating (102.3).
Georgia Tech 2009-10: Averaged 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 27.5 minutes as a freshman in lone season at Georgia Tech. Ranked fourth in the ACC in rebounding average and second in blocks. Led all ACC freshmen in scoring, rebounding, double-doubles, blocked shots and field goal percentage. Named ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC All-Freshman by conference media. Also a member of The Sporting News’ National All-Freshman team. Earned ACC All-Tournament First Team honors after averaging 17 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while shooting .658 from the floor. Scored a career-high 22 points with 11 rebounds in the ACC Championship Game against Duke. Led the nation and the ACC in field goal percentage entering the NCAA Tournament, but fell below the required minimums on field goals made. Finished the year strong, averaging 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds over the final 11 contests while shooting .642 from the floor. Posted 21 points and career-high 18 rebounds (eight offensive) at Maryland. Had 11 double-doubles, six in ACC games. Reached double-digits in rebounding 12 games and scoring 27 times. Earned ACC Rookie of the Week honors four times.
