One of the most versatile points guards in NBA history, Russell Westbrook has two scoring titles and three assist crowns.

Veteran Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook has passed Isiah Thomas for 9th place on the NBA’s career assist list.

Now playing for his fifth team in 15 NBA seasons, Westbrook moved past the Pistons legend with his third assist in Saturday’s matinee against the Knicks, feeding Paul George underneath for a dunk midway through the third quarter. It marked the 9,062nd assist of his career.

He now sits behind fellow triple-double machine Oscar Robertson, who amassed 9,887 assists in 14 seasons with the Cincinnati Royals and the Bucks.

Westbrook entered Saturday’s game with career averages of 22.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.4 assists.
