The Gold’s parent club is the Denver Nuggets, who have been decimated by injuries this season. Chalmers hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2017-18 season, when he averaged 7.7 points in 66 appearances with the Grizzlies.
It was the most recent of Chalmers’ nine NBA seasons, in which he averaged 8.9 points and 3.7 assists in 646 appearances. He’s best known for his stint with the Heat, during which he helped the team win consecutive championships in 2012 and 2013.
Chalmers has spent most of the past three seasons playing internationally, including stints in Greece and Italy.
