NBA 2K26 Summer League: Balanced effort leads Kings over Cavaliers

Led by Nique Clifford, Sacramento gets double-figure scoring from 6 players in win vs. Cleveland to improve to 4-0 in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS — The Sacramento Kings (4-0) defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-2) 94-86 in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Wednesday.

After an even 23-23 first quarter, the Kings came out hot and won the second frame 27-17. The Cavaliers responded after halftime with a 25-18 advantage in the third quarter. However, Sacramento took back control of the game and won the fourth quarter 26-21. Shooting efficiency and assists were the biggest difference-makers as the Kings shot 54.8 FG% with 28 assists compared to the Cavaliers’ 35.3 FG% with 13 assists.

Nique Clifford led Sacramento in points (19), assists (9) and rebounds (7). It was a balanced effort by the Kings, as six other players scored in double figures. Isaac Jones was the second-leading scorer with 17 points and seven-foot center Maxime Raynaud blocked three shots.

The Cavaliers were led by Tyrese Proctor, who had a game-high 35 points, plus a team-high four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Nae’Qwan Tomlin led the team in rebounding with 12 boards along with 18 points. Tristan Enaruna and Norchad Omier were the two other players to score in double figures for the Cavs.

With each team completing its fourth game, consolation games begin Friday, while playoff games begin Saturday.
