Nets 92, Bucks 71: Box Score | Game Detail
The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 92-71, at Cox Pavilion on Tuesday in the 2023 NBA Summer League.
The Nets and Bucks played an evenly-contested first half in which both teams went back and forth, but ultimately, neither squad got an inch of separation and the game was tied 40-40 at halftime. However, Brooklyn came out in the third quarter and essentially put the game out of reach. Milwaukee won the final period 22-17, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback.
David Duke led the way for the Nets with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Kennedy Chandler posted 17 points, seven assists and four boards. Jalen Wilson added 14 points, eight boards and five assists, while Matt Lewis and Armoni Brooks each finished with 13 points.
Lindell Wigginton was the only Bucks player who scored in double digits after finishing with 11 points, and he also added three steals and two rebounds. Other notable performers for Milwaukee were Chris Livingston (nine points, five rebounds), Tyler Cook (eight points, four boards) and Andre Jackson Jr. (five points and seven rebounds).
Both teams return to action Thursday. Milwaukee will face the Miami Heat while Brooklyn squares off against the Toronto Raptors.
