Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving out for Monday's game against Grizzlies

Dallas' All-Star duo will miss another key game in the Western Conference playoff race.

Luka Doncic’s bothersome left thigh will keep him out of Monday’s game against Memphis.

The Dallas Mavericks will be without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving for Monday’s home game against the Memphis Grizzlies (7:30 ET, ESPN) due to injuries. Doncic remains out with a left thigh strain that has sidelined him since last Wednesday and Irving is dealing with right foot soreness.

The Mavericks played and lost without both superstars in the lineup on Saturday to the same Memphis Grizzlies team they face again on Monday. Dallas enters the game tied with Minnesota for seventh place, but just one game ahead of 12th-place New Orleans.

Dallas will also be without big man Christian Wood due to right foot soreness.

Only the top six teams in each conference are guaranteed a playoff berth, with teams placing seventh through 10th entering the Play-In Tournament to win the final two spots.

Doncic and Irving (since being traded to Dallas last month) combine to average 60.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 14.6 assists and 2.7 steals while each shoots 50 percent or better from the field

The Mavericks have lost seven of their last 10 games, and are 6-8 overall since trading for Irving.
