2023 Playoffs: East Final | Celtics (2) vs. Heat (8)

Malcolm Brogdon ruled out of Celtics-Heat Game 6 due to forearm injury

The NBA's Kia Sixth Man of the Year has been ineffective while playing through the injury in the conference finals.

Malcolm Brogdon struggled with his shot in Games 2, 3, 4 and 5, shooting 5-for-22 from the field.

The Boston Celtics will be without one of their key rotation players when they take on the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

About an hour before tip-off, Malcolm Brogdon was officially downgraded to out with a right forearm strain.

The 2022-23 Kia Sixth Man of the Year had been playing through the injury for most of the series but appeared to aggravate the injury in Game 5.

Brogdon averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists this season — all off the bench.

Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent will return from a one-game absence and start for the Heat. Vincent, who is averaging 17.5 points a game during this series, missed Game 5 with a left ankle injury.
