Dennis Schroder and the Hawks have come to terms on a four-year, $70-million contract extension, according to Marc Stein and Zach Lowe of ESPN.
After starting just 16 games through his first three NBA seasons, Schroder will be the man running the show Thursday night when the Hawks open the 2016-17 season at home against the Wizards. Schroder averaged 11 points and 2.6 rebounds while playing 20.7 minutes per game last season.
