The Phoenix Suns receive needed reinforcements as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on NBA League Pass, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Suns step in as 5.5-point favorites at DraftKings in a matchup that may come down to strength of rosters against a Cavaliers team seeking to get back fully healthy with the total set at over/under 221 points.

Let’s get to my Suns vs. Cavaliers prediction and Suns vs. Cavaliers pick as we break down tonight’s NBA odds between Phoenix and Cleveland.

Suns vs. Cavaliers Prediction

Pick: Suns -5.5 (-110) or Suns ML (-230)

Suns Betting Outlook

Devin Booker is back! The Suns now have their “Big 3” with Booker, Beal, and Kevin Durant all expected to be healthy and playing.

While Booker may be on some sort of minutes restriction, the talent gap should be overwhelming considering the injuries Cleveland is dealing with.

When Booker and Durant played together last season, they were 8-0 in the regular season and took two games off Denver. In the early part of this season, they racked up wins together.

Now the Suns are floating in the seventh seed and have a tough remaining schedule. This is one they need. I expect full effort, the probables to be a go, and the Suns to take care of business on the road.

Cavaliers Betting Outlook

The Cavaliers are up for a tough task in this contest. They continue to be without Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Max Strus.

After their most recent game against the Nets, Dean Wade missed with personal reasons and Darius Garland was seen icing his hand and is listed as questionable. While I expect the latter two to be a go, I still expect the Cavaliers to be a bit overwhelmed.

They will rely heavily on the Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen pick and roll, which is not a very big matchup advantage here where the Suns have size and often switch on the perimeter.

Suns vs. Cavaliers Picks, Odds

The line opened with this game close to a pick’em and then the subsequent news of Donovan Mitchell probably remaining out, and Devin Booker probably being in, has moved the line a full 5.5 points. I expect once it’s confirmed, it closes closer to -6 or -6.5.

I think this is a line worth taking now, but I also don’t mind taking some exposure on just the moneyline. The margin of -5 is the second-most common NBA outcome and is the most common number to push, so having such drastic movement and now being on the wrong side of a key number, you may be better off paying the insurance premium and taking the moneyline.

I was able to grab a -4 when I saw it moving, and personally chose to add on more with the moneyline when the spread got to -5.5. It is a strong spot to buy into, this Cavs team has been over preforming and the Suns underperforming, but the health situations weight heavily.

Pick: Suns -5.5 (-110) or Suns ML (-230)
