Here’s everything you need to know about Raptors vs. Hornets on Wednesday, Feb. 7 — our expert prediction and betting picks for today.

The Raptors travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets in a matchup of Eastern Conference bottom-dwellers one day before the trade deadline.

With several players in this game rumored to be on the block (Toronto: Chris Boucher, Bruce Brown, Gary Trent Jr., Dennis Schröder; Charlotte: Miles Bridges, Gordon Hayward, Kyle Lowery), this could be the last time some of them take the court for their current teams with the trade deadline set for 3 p.m. ET Thursday.

But before that arrives, there are seven NBA games to be played Wednesday night, including this one with an intriguing total angle in Charlotte. Let’s get to our Raptors vs. Hornets prediction and pick.

Raptors vs. Hornets Prediction

Pick: Under 225.5 (-110)

Raptors Betting Outlook

Despite being the team from the north, the Raptors are sliding precipitously south in the standings. After a middling start to the season, and subsequently trading Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, they have gone 2-12 in their last 14 games.

The Raptors’ problems are coming on the offensive end. They have failed to score more than 110 points in nine of their last 11 games, and they needed two overtimes against the Thunder to eclipse the number on Sunday against Oklahoma City.

With all the troubles scoring, the Raptors are still the favorite and the sharp side in tonight’s game. If they are projected to win by 7 and consistently fail to reach 110, then the under is the strongest position for this game.

Hornets Betting Outlook

While the Raptors have been horrific in their last 14 games, the Hornets have one-upped them, going 2-15 in their last 17 games. And like Toronto, they are are having a difficult time scoring, failing to go over 110 in seven of their last 10 games.

LaMelo Ball (ankle) is expected to miss his seventh straight game, which is another boost for the under since he is dynamic offensively and pushes the pace so frequently.

We can debate how much we should expect Brandon Miller to put up 30 points regularly now, but I do not expect Bridges to go for another 41 points, as he did on Monday in a loss to the Lakers. Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett should be able to do enough defensively to disrupt Miller and Bridges from going off.

Raptors vs. Hornets Prediction, Odds

There are three types of people who will watching this game. Raptors fans, Hornets fans and bettors with action on the game.

The basketball angle makes a lot of sense to me, but we also have some market angles that are compelling, especially with no LaMelo Ball or wing-on-wing creators and defenders, and two struggling teams without many shooting options.

The total is currently experiencing some reverse line movement, meaning that despite 70% of the bets and 62% of the money being on the over, the line has moved from 226.5 down to 225.5. At that number, this is a one-unit play for me.

Pick: Under 225.5 or Better (-110)
