Pacers vs. Lakers: NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks (Saturday)

There’s only one game on the NBA slate. And it’s for (potentially) a banner?!

It’s the Finals of the NBA In-Season Tournament between the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers.

The winner of the Tournament will earn a new trophy called the ‘NBA Cup.” There’s also a prize pool that will be allocated to players. Each player on the team will earn $500,000 if they win the trophy.

There’s a lot at stake.

Here are a couple of same-game parlays to consider for this fantastic event.

*Remember, this game will not count towards the NBA regular season.

Indiana Pacers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

  • Leg 1: Austin Reaves Over 14.5 Points (-118)
  • Leg 2: Cam Reddish Under 8.5 Points (+104)
  • Leg 3: Anthony Davis Over 2.5 Assists (-166)

Austin Reaves is fourth on the team in scoring. He’s added 14.1 points per game this season. However, he’s added at least 17 points in each of his last three games. In December, he’s only earned about 24 minutes per game. But with that, Reaves has still attempted 12 shots per game. He’s nailed 50% of those shots and has made the foul line at least a couple of times per game in the last three. As an efficient three-point shooter, I like Reaves to earn at least 15 points tonight.

Meanwhile, Cam Reddish has only earned 7.1 points per game. Now he’s got a line of 8.5. That’s a bit high for a player trending below 40% from the field. Reddish has only hit this line in 32% of games. He’s also hit this line in only two of his last five, despite hitting it in the past game against the Pelicans. In that game against the Pelicans, Reddish saw 23 minutes and only attempted six shots. In the previous game, he only took four shots and made none. The Lakers aren’t relying on Reddish tonight.

However, they will need to share the ball around. Anthony Davis isn’t a high-volume assist guy. But he’s added 3.2 assists per game this season. That would be enough to hit his assist prop. Against the Pelicans last time out, Davis added 16 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in the win. He’s earned at least three assists in 68% of games. There’s value in this play.

Indiana Pacers vs. Los Angeles Lakers

  • Leg 1: D’Angelo Russell Over 2.5 Rebounds (-166)
  • Leg 2: Obi Toppin Under 3.5 Rebounds (-104)
  • Leg 3: Tyrese Haliburton Under 4.5 Threes (-128)

Feel free to mix and match these same-game parlays. This is the second one I came up with.

D’Angelo Russell has earned at least three rebounds in 74% of games this season. He’s also hit this line in seven of his last ten. So, with -166 odds, this play also has plenty of value.

Meanwhile, Obi Toppin should be a better rebounder than he is. At 6-9, Toppin has grabbed just 3.2 rebounds per game, despite playing about 25 minutes a night. In December, he’s averaged 3.3 rebounds and that was because he grabbed six rebounds against the Bucks in 21 minutes last time out. However, Toppin is not very active on the glass and has hit this line in only 45% of games this season.

Finally, Tyrese Haliburton has been entertaining to watch during the In-Season Tournament. But asking any player to nail five threes is a difficult task. I understand it’s the In-Season Tournament. But Haliburton has still only hit five or more threes in 44% of games this season. He’s attempted 20 threes in the last two games. If he averaged ten threes tonight, he’d have to nail five of them and shoot at least 50% from the floor. I’ll gladly take the Under.
