Jay Money: I’ll be honest, I was trying to search around to see if someone was out for the Sky in this game. This line originally opened up at 6.5, and it’s all the way up 10.5. I was just trying to figure out what’s going on. Could Kahleah Copper be out? Is Marina Maybrey out? She used to play for the Wings.

The Sky beat the Wings earlier in the season, and were actually favored. The Sky were favored by 2.5 points earlier this season in Chicago, and now it’s flipped all the way to double-digits for the Wings. This is a huge line jump. You could say that the Wings, in their current form having beaten the Aces, are a top-tier team in the WNBA. However, this is still a few too many points for me to lay.

I feel like I’m on an island here, especially with all the money coming in on the Wings, but you can only look at the Chicago Sky here. They have a couple of players in Copper and Maybrey that can dominate the game. They have some dogs out there in Courtney Williams and Elizabeth Williams. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them keep this game within five to seven points. Maybe they lose, but they keep it within double digits. They have the players that can hang with the Wings.

Jay Money: I’m gonna take the over in this game. First off, I believe the Liberty will obviously want to score some points. They will want to get into their offensive groove with an upcoming game coming up against the Aces. On the other hand, they might not be totally locked in defensively in my opinion.

Both of these teams are 6-3 to the over in their last nine games, and the Lynx are 4-1 to the over in their last five. They have been picking up the pace. The Lynx don’t have a ton of rim protection, but, even without Napheesa Collier, they have still been able to score some points.

I’m expecting the Liberty to be a lot better offensively than they were in their last game, even with their last game going over with an 88-83 final score. Obviously they did drop that one, but they showed, by scoring 25 points in the fourth quarter, that if they are ready. They can score on this Lynx team.

Regardless of who covers the spread, I see an up-and-down game here. I’ll go ahead and take this full game combined total of 167.5. It’s starting to trickle up a tad, but I like this all the way up to 170. I think we see a game in the 170s with a fast pace.

We know the Liberty aren’t the greatest defensive team as well. They can score with the best of them, but the defense isn’t always there. Maybe the look-ahead spot affects the Liberty on the defensive end tonight, with nobody trying to get injured out there.

Courtney Vandersloot is also back for this game, and we know she likes to push the pace. She can make a huge difference in this game in terms of pace. If the last game went over, this one can soar over.

Pick: Over 168.5 (Bet to 170)
