The season is officially upon us with the release of the NBA schedule; we now know that opening night will be October 28th in Milwaukee, and the Knicks return to the Garden to face Atlanta the following evening.

- 17: Games in January (most of any month). Fifteen apiece in November, December and March.
- 16: Nationally-televised games (9 NBA TV, 4 TNT, 3 ESPN)
- 6: Games -- Longest road trip (March 8-19)
- 4: Games -- Longest homestand (November 27-December 4)
- 1,023: Miles -- Farthest trip (in miles) in back-to-back games (Brooklyn to Minnesota, February 19 and 20)
- 5.5: Miles -- Shortest trip in back-to-back games (NY to Brooklyn, January 13 and 13)
