About Vanja Marinkovic
Vanja Marinkovic is an early bloomer who can make shots from the perimeter in bunches on his best nights. Emerging as a prospect averaging 9 points per game for his native Serbia at the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, Marinkovic began seeing steady minutes with Partizan—with whom he has spent his entire career—in the EuroCup, Adriatic League, and Serbian League that winter. Emerging as a regular starter four years ago, the Belgrade native took a significant step forward last season solidifying himself as one of Partizan’s primary offensive weapons. He averaged 11.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in his draft eligible year this season.
- Has nice size for a wing listed at 6’7 but has an even wingspan and an improving 205-pound frame. Not especially explosive, but has solid quickness and plays with a steady motor.
- Played a significant role as Partizan’s most productive jump shooter. Did much of his damage as a floor spacer, but also scored steadily using on and off ball screens. Put together several big offensive performances over the course of the season.
- Competitive defender who stays engaged off the ball. Not especially versatile, but will make some hustle plays.
