Santa Cruz Warriors Establish New Single-Game D-League Attendance Record

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

The Santa Cruz Warriors have established a new single-game NBA D-League attendance record this evening, with a crowd of 17,497 packing Oracle Arena to watch Santa Cruz take on the Oklahoma City Blue in the first-ever D-League game on Golden State’s home floor. The previous D-League attendance record of 15,011 was established earlier this season, on December 20, 2016, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto for a game featuring Raptors 905 and the Grand Rapids Drive.

“Congratulations to the Warriors for setting a new NBA D-League attendance record today at Oracle Arena,” said NBA D-League President Malcolm Turner. “It's fantastic to see so many Golden State fans support the Santa Cruz team as the Warriors organization has once again shown the benefits of deep connectivity between NBA and D-League teams.”

The Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s NBA D-League affiliate, are celebrating their fifth season in Northern California. The Club appeared in the NBA D-League Finals in each of their first three seasons in Santa Cruz (2012-13 through 2014-15) and won the D-League Championship in 2015.
