ThunderShop Doors Still Open

OKLAHOMA CITY, Monday, June 8, 2009 – The ThunderShop in downtown Oklahoma City remains open for business during the off-season, allowing Thunder fans a year-round chance to buy their favorite team’s apparel and merchandise. The shop, on the ground floor of Leadership Square, is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. during the summer. Items are also available online via the team’s new website at thunder.nba.com.

For the 2009-10 NBA season, look for a brand new ThunderShop at the Ford Center to be open on game nights.

In the Thunder’s first season in Oklahoma City, the ThunderShop sold the following items at the downtown store, online and at the Ford Center:

  • 22,629 Thunder T-shirts
  • 11,003 Thunder caps
  • 18,972 Thunder accessories including pins, keychains, wristbands, etc
  • 2,050 Thunder jerseys
  • 1,201 Thunder coffee mugs
  • 3,495 Thunder foam fingers
  • 8,530 Thunder basketballs


  • New items are being ordered for next season. They include Thunder game warm-up jackets, shooting shirts and a special Rumble the Bison plush doll. The Rumble doll is expected to be available by opening night this coming season.
