Thunder Announces 2016 Preseason Schedule

OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 9, 2016 – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced its complete 2016 preseason schedule today, which includes a pair of games at Chesapeake Energy Arena as part of the club’s six-game preseason schedule. As previously announced, the Thunder will participate NBA Global Games Europe 2016, playing two games in Spain, as well as making its eighth preseason appearance in Tulsa.

Oklahoma City tips off its preseason schedule on Oct. 3 in Madrid, Spain, where it plays nine-time Euroleague Champion and 33-time Spanish League Champion Real Madrid. Oklahoma City then travels to Barcelona, Spain, to face off with two-time Euroleague and 18-time Spanish League Champion FC Barcelona on Oct. 5.

The Thunder returns stateside to play the Mavericks on Oct. 11 in Dallas, followed by an Oct. 13 contest in Tulsa versus the Memphis Grizzlies. The club hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 16 at Chesapeake Energy Arena, before concluding the preseason in Oklahoma City on Oct. 18 versus the Denver Nuggets.

All preseason games can be heard on the Thunder Radio Network, led by flagship WWLS-The Sports Animal (98.1 FM) in Oklahoma City. Details for any TV broadcasts or live streams for Thunder preseason games will be announced at a later date.

Tickets for the game in Tulsa are now available and can be purchased through the BOK center website, www.bokcenter.com. Additionally, tickets for both preseason games at Chesapeake Energy Arena will go on-sale Saturday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m., via the team’s website, okcthunder.com.
