Blue Alliance Chapter of the Month - Jennifer Ramsey-Aldridge

How did you get started as a Blue Alliance Captain? I love my Thunder, and when I saw the Blue Alliance one day when browsing their website, I thought, "Wow, it would be so cool to do something like that." So I sent in an essay and impatiently waited on word. When I opened the email saying I was chosen as captain for Council Hill, I actually let out a scream, I was so excited – and still am.What got you hooked on the Thunder?

I'm a huge sports fan, so naturally I was glad to hear that we were getting an NBA team, but unfortunately there weren’t many games on TV that I could watch, at first. In the second season, I figured out that every game was on a channel I had (Fox Sports Oklahoma). I've never missed a game since, and I have them all set to DVR just in case I miss a good play or am unable to watch them live. I even DVR Thunder Insider. The more I watched and saw interviews and stories on the coaching staff and players, I realized what a good group they were. I became a hardcore Thunder fan and have never looked back. How many members do you have in your Blue Alliance Chapter?

I have 26 members, but check back in about six months – I hope to double that. What’s been your favorite moment as a Blue Alliance Captain?

My best and favorite moment is still to come. My sister (my co-captain) and I got with the Muskogee County 4-H and the Tulsa 66ers, and we are fixing to start selling tickets to their Feb. 4 Thunder Appreciation Night game. All the proceeds that the 4-H makes will be donated to the Victory Junction Gang Camp of Kansas City. But if I'd have to pick an experience that has already happened, I'd have to say just becoming a captain because it has allowed me this opportunity to be able to do this. What’s your top goal for the next year in the Blue Alliance? My main goal is to sell 666 tickets to the Thunder Appreciation Night game at the 66ers because that would allow the Council Hill chapter and the Muskogee County 4-H kids to give the Victory Junction Gang Camp a $2,000 check. I'd really like to double, if not triple, my membership from this event. I’m also planning to have my chapter walk in the local Christmas Parade. How many pieces of Thunder gear do you own?

As far as how much Thunder gear I have I'd say somewhere between 10 and 15 items.Want to learn more about becoming a Blue Alliance member? Click here.
